If you didn’t get the opportunity to learn to swim while you were growing up it can be really daunting learning to swim as an adult.
It’s one of those things that can impact on your life and mean you miss out on a lot of pleasurable activities that other people take for granted, such as the joy of cooling off in the sea on holiday, playing as family in your local swimming pool or using the water for exercise.
Whatever your goals our simple relaxed approach to learning to swim helps to make it less daunting.
Fear of water
A fear of water can make learning to swim seem impossible and is experienced by people of all ages and backgrounds. It’s nothing to be ashamed of and is a natural response designed to keep us safe. It could be caused by a bad experience or just because you never had the opportunity to learn. Whatever the reason our simple no pressure lessons will help you to heal your fear and learn to swim so that you enjoy being in the water.
One to one lessons take place in a quiet privately booked pool which makes it an ideal way to take the first steps to learning and building confidence in the water.
Our coaches will be in the water with you and by your side throughout every lesson building your skills and confidence at a pace that suits you.
We teach in a supportive no pressure environment so that you can learn skills that will help to build your confidence.
You will learn how to let the water support your body, how your body floats, how switch between floating and standing, strategies for managing anxiety and breathing techniques to stay calm. When you’re ready you’ll learn the skills you need to develop an easy and efficient swim stroke.
We know that learning to swim can be daunting and we want to make it as easy for you as possible. This is 30min a taster session for you to experience the way we coach, the swimming pool and see if it’s right for you and make it easier to take that first step.

Learn to Swim Programme
This is a 10 week course designed to help you break down all the barriers and challenges that can prevent you from making progress. It includes a coaching call in between lessons as well as an accompanied visit to your local pool so that you feel safe and confident to practice on your own.
