Like many of the people I coach, I originally came to exercise and aerobic activity as a way to manage my weight and burn calories. As I got more interested in marathon running and triathlon I’ve become more focused on fitness and performance rather than calories and this has helped to temper an unhealthy obsession with size and weight loss.
Keeping on top of your fitness and training goals during Xmas can be a challenge with a marathon of Xmas dinners, parties and celebrations. As well as time off work and interruption to your normal routine it can be hard to maintain any fitness over the Xmas period.
Just as I thought my knee was fixed and I made to a whole 25 minutes of running, my knee started to hurt again. I couldn’t run to the end of the road without pain and had to have the whole week off running.
